Our refractory metal and ceramic materials include:
- Coatings – For extreme environments including highly corrosive (oxidation, acid) at high or low temperatures, high temperature catalyst, high radiation. Applications include carbon- and ceramic-based composites with increased survivability, fiber interface coatings, system components for acid transfer/catalytic ignition/superconductivity, and bonding dissimilar materials (non-weldable metals and ceramic-to-metal).
- Freestanding Structures – Include combustion chambers and valve components, crucibles for crystal growing and rare-earth smelting, microtubing, thermocouple sheaths, heat exchangers, and radiology identification components.
- Porous, Open-Cell Foams – For lightweight high temperature insulation, ablator reinforcement, lightweight sandwich panels, catalyst supports, heat sinks and heat exchangers, tissue growth, and implanted medical devices.
